Manigod: an authentic, family-friendly mountain village
Fancy a snow holiday in the Alps? Let yourself be tempted by the friendly village of Manigod. Located in Haute-Savoie, the resort is perched at an altitude of between 1460 and 1780 metres in the heart of the Aravis massif. It offers a wide range of winter sports: skiing, tobogganing, snowshoeing, dog sledding... You can also try your hand at paret, Manigod's emblematic activity that has its origins in the resort. The paret is similar to a wooden sledge, the only difference being that it has just one runner, unlike the wooden sledge which has two, but the principle is the same: to give children (and adults too) the chance to slide on the snow and hurtle down snow-covered slopes for maximum thrills! The ski resort is divided into three areas: the village resort, the Col de la Croix Fry and the Col de Merdassier. Come and discover these hamlets with their traditional Savoyard architecture and immerse yourself in the atmosphere of a skiing holiday. Feeling hungry? Step through the doors of these chalets to discover the fifteen or so restaurants in the resort and try our comforting Savoyard specialities.
