By plane
From Geneva airport 76 km
By car
Coming from the A40 and A41 motorways, take the direction of Thonon/Evian. Follow: Vallée Verte / Vallée d'Abondance ski resorts. On the Thonon bypass, take exit n°1 Châtel and follow the D902 towards the ski resorts (Avoriaz, Châtel, Morzine). Continue on the D22 passing through Abondance then the Chapelle d'Abondance. At the roundabout after Ville du Nant, turn right onto the D230 towards Villapeyron, Télécabine du Linga (do not follow the Chatel sign) and continue for about 3 km. At Clos du Tour, after the hotel Le Kandahar **, take the road to the left, route de la Béchigne and enter Châtel
By train
From Thonon-les-Bains TGV station 38 km or Aigle station (Switzerland) then shuttle bus using the Buski (only during school holidays)

Situated at an altitude of 1200m, Châtel is one of the main resorts in the Franco-Swiss Les Portes du Soleil ski area, one of the largest in Europe with no less than 650 km of pistes. Young and old will be delighted thanks to a wide variety of slopes which can be accessed with a single ski pass.
 
On the Portes du Soleil mobile application, you can find numerous services concerning the 12 French and Swiss resorts in the area, such as the interactive piste map, your GPS position and suggested itineraries.
