At the heart of the Portes du Soleil ski area in Haute-Savoie, the superb Chalet Vermeil is located in Châtel, facing Mont de Grange, which dominates the Abondance valley. It is located in the hamlet of Petit Châtel, just a few kilometres from the Swiss border, and enjoys a fine south-easterly aspect.

This luxury chalet is ideally located just 575m from the Barbossines chairlift, which leads to the Super Châtel/Barbossine sector and provides links to the Swiss resorts. The heart of the resort and the Super Châtel gondola (ESF meeting point at the top) are just 1900m from the chalet.

VERY IMPORTANT : For all 7-night stays between 20/12/2025 and 18/04/2026, 3 dinners and 7 breakfasts must be added to the price indicated (breakfast : €15/person/day for adults and €10 for children under 12 - dinner : €25/person/day for adults and €13 for children under 12).

For groups of up to 27 people, in addition to Chalet Vermeil, you can rent Chalet Platines, just 25m away, which sleeps 14.

The 225 m2 Chalet Vermeil offers a warm, alpine décor in wood and metallic tones. With its generous size, it can sleep 13 people in 5 bedrooms and has 4 bathrooms, 3 of which are en-suite. It also has 6 secure overhead parking spaces for large gatherings.

On the ground floor of Chalet Vermeil, where the entrance is located, you'll find a ski-room where you can easily take your shoes off after your sessions on the slopes. Also on this level is a games area with shuffleboard, a relaxation area with footstool and electric fireplace, a sublime wine cellar with a wide selection of wines and some grands crus for the connoisseurs, and a laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer.

The living area of this prestigious chalet, with its panoramic views, is on level R-1. It comprises a fitted kitchen opening onto the living room, a dining area with a table for 13, and a lounge with a large sofa, television and pellet fireplace. It's a spacious, cosy room where you can make the most of your skiing holiday and share quality time with your family. The living room opens onto a 50m2 south-east-facing terrace where you can enjoy the warm winter sunshine while admiring the snow-covered peaks. A bedroom with double bed and en suite shower room completes this level.

On level R-2, you will find four other bedrooms and 3 bathrooms : one bedroom with a double bed, one bedroom with a double bed and a single bed and a family area with one bedroom with a double bed and one bedroom with a bunk bed and 2 single beds, making a total of 11 beds on this level. There's also a quiet reading area. To top it all off, there's an outdoor wellness area with panoramic sauna and south-facing whirlpool bath.

By plane
From Geneva airport 76 km away

By car
From the A40 and A41 motorways, follow signs for Thonon/Evian. Follow signs for the Vallée Verte / Vallée d'Abondance ski resorts. On the Thonon bypass, take exit 1 for Châtel and follow the D902 towards the ski resorts (Avoriaz, Châtel, Morzine). Continue on the D22 through Abondance and then La Chapelle d'Abondance. When you arrive in Châtel, follow signs for Petit Châtel and the route du Petit Châtel.

By train
From Thonon-les-Bains TGV station (38 km) or Aigle station (Switzerland), then take the Buski shuttle bus (only during school holidays).
